PERSON IN CHARGE & DRIVER - LEVEL 5 Experienced Manager or Deputy looking for their next exciting opportunity.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone taking the next step in their own personal development and childcare career where you can take some ownership in continuing to make Woodlands Childcare even better!

We are seeking someone to join our well- established team with a very hardworking ethos and experienced Senior Management team. Highly self motivated, dedicated, passionate and flexible, you must be comfortable entering public places on the way home with unknown substances stuck to you!

Woodlands Childcare is a modern, award winning and sector leading practice setting with a good reputation for high quality care where children learn through their own curiosity and child-led experiences.

The adult role is to support, scaffold and extend their experiences. IDEAL START IN POST ASAP RATE OF PAY - ABOVE NMW AND NEGOTIABLE FOR SUITABLY EXPERIENCED & QUALIFIED CANDIDATE 

ESSENTIAL

  • CCLD (or equivalent) qualification,
  • Playworks Level 3
  • Current DBS, Safeguarding Group C, current Paediatric First Aid qualification, personal car, clean driver's licence and business use insurance to do school transport service and outings.
  • Good working knowledge of CIW regulations, New Curriculum, local and national initiatives such as Healthy Preschool, Healthy Snack, Welsh Promise, Sunsafe and Autism Aware.
  • Undertake administration of Childcare offer and Flying Start schemes.
  • Carry out risk assessments and comply with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Work alongside RI developing and maintaining policies and procedures, Health and Safety, Fire regulations, staff recruitment, appraisal and development.
  • Be able to self-reflect and evaluate in order to support the Quality of Care report and a vision for new developments.
  • Meeting parents/families and dealing with enquiries, developing good transition channels working with all stakeholders of the setting
  • Working alongside the Deputy and under guidance of Responsible Individual, ordering and maintaining supplies, simple accounting.
  • Organise staff, plan rotas and timetables, complete payroll sheets for accountant.
  • Be able to pretend to eat playdough cakes and drink lots of cups of pretend tea.

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

  • Current Food Hygiene qualification, OCN in Food & Nutrition, Children's Rights training Welsh speaker or ability to speak basic Welsh in leading the staff and enhancing children's learning.
