We are looking for an experienced, Qualified Nursery Manager for our small Nursery and Out of School Clubs. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the setting.

Your duties will include:

• Being responsible for and to oversee the day-to-day management of staff and safety of the facility.
• Planing and delivering effective daily management of the setting, in accordance with policies and procedures, all relevant legislation, plus local authority and CIW, Estyn  requirements.
• Promoting the nursery within the local community.
• Ensuring excellent relationships with parents/carers of children and the community.
• Taking lead responsibility for safeguarding.
• Ensuring that the Early Years Foundations Phase requirements are being implemented fully at all times.
• Completing and delivering annual performance and development reviews.
• Effectively managing absence, discipline, grievance and team welfare in compliance with the organisation’s policies, procedures and all aspects of employment law.
• Communicating effectively with and reporting to the Parent Committee.
• Being actively involved in the recruitment, selection, motivation and development of a well qualified and experienced team.
• Ensuring the premises and employees adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Completion of risk assessments.
• Effectively monitoring, reviewing and managing setting finances.

Candidates must:

• Have 2 years Childcare experience
• Be qualified in Childcare Level 3
• Be qualified in Childcare and Management Level 5 (Or be willing to work towards it)
• Be Fluent Welsh Speaking (Or willing to learn)

Salary - Negotiable dependant on experience.
