Information and support

Through our work, Early Years Wales seeks to support our members to encourage discussion about early years services.

Our Work

We keep our members updated on all areas of Early Years. This includes changes to legal requirements, sustainability of businesses, we provide targeted one to one support, news about the early years sector and signpost to qualifications and training opportunities.

We improve quality through dedicated Foundation Learning support, Welsh Language support and promotion of our Quality for All (QfA) quality assurance scheme and develop publications and resources for further support.

We recognise that many early years providers operate in a diverse range of environments which can be  challenging; such as rural communities, areas of disadvantage, a mixed economy of funding e.g. Flying Start, Early Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds plus fees from parents and, where applicable, the Childcare Offer.

These factors can threaten and challenge sustainability as can local and national initiatives. Our aim is to inform and support and signpost so that issues can be addressed and capacity be maintained.
