A Whole Body Approach to Learning in the Early Years
Tuesday, 25 June, 2024 - 10:00 to 15:15

Venue:

Court Colman Manor, Pen-y-Fair, Bridgend, CF31 4NG

We will explore the links between motor skills, posture, balance, eye movements and visual perception with particular focus on the role of primitive and postural reflexes, and the role the adult plays in this.

The presence or absence of primitive and postural reflexes at key stages in development provide markers of maturity in the functioning of the central nervous system. As such, they can be used to identify immaturity in the development of motor skills, indicate the use of physical intervention programmes and measure change as a result of intervention.

With keynote speaker Sally Goddard Blythe, author of the 'Well Balanced Child'
