The Healthy and Active Fund (HAF) is an exciting opportunity for organisations and their partners to work together and create opportunities within their communities for people to engage in sport and physical activity, tailored to meet local needs, with the aim of improving physical and mental wellbeing.

The Welsh Active Early Years project meets the aims of the Healthy and Active Fund criteria by bringing together two partners, Early Years Wales and Welsh Gymnastics.

Early Years Wales are the leading authority on early years development within Wales, setting standards and inspiring others whilst promoting pride within our sector. Together, we want to see children in Wales thrive.

Welsh Gymnastics aim to create great communities and champions. As a governing body, they lead, develop, support and act as the guardian of the sport in Wales. Their mission is for Wales to be recognised as a leading gymnastics nation, producing world-class champions and creating vibrant, inclusive communities where every gymnast has a high-quality experience.

The Welsh Active Early Years project includes the following programmes:

  • Active Together Wales
  • Active Baby and You
  • Active Baby at Home
