An Introduction to 'Curriculum for funded non-maintained nursery settings'

The session will give an introduction to the curriculum and assessment arrangements, helping practitioners plan, observe, and support children's learning effectively.

    • Newly qualified practitioners
    • Practitioners wanting a better understanding or a refresher on the curriculum

    • Using the five developmental pathways to guide planning and assessment
    • Understanding the three enablers and how they support learning
    • Recognising the pivotal role of the adult in fostering children's development
    • The importance of observations in informing practice
    • Applying the 'Notice, Analyse, Respond' model effectively
    • Using the assessment arrangements to enhance and support everyday practice.
