Capable Environments (Part 1)

The second session we will explore what can be done to support the children we work with. One of the easiest places to start is the environment.

We will look at why the environment in which a child learns is important. We will explore what we can do within the environment to better meet the child's needs. This is done through a capable environment. 

There is a 9-item checklist that makes up a Capable Environment. In this session we will cover the first 4 items in detail. Providing you with examples. There will be opportunities to have discussions in small groups throughout.
