Introduction to Learning Disability

In session 1 the team will cover the basics of defining a learning disability, global developmental delay and why we need to change the way we support these children. We will debunk some common misconceptions that we are often faced with.

We will explore the arousal curve to better understand stages of behaviour and what we can do within these stages to decrease the likelihood of challenging behaviour from occurring.
