Session 1: Catch the Learning Wave (15th February, 18:30 - 20:00)

Building on our knowledge and understanding, to make changes in home- based,

early years practice. In this session we'll be taking the time to explore knowledge from current early years research, and how evidence-based practice can be used to support us in providing high quality provision.

Session 2: Getting the Environment Right (22nd February, 18:30 - 20:00)

We'll be looking at creating a quality early years environment where children and home- based practitioners can thrive. Taking the opportunity to reflect on changes in early years practice, and what quality provision looks like in the 21st Century. We'll be researching the power of the 'three environments' and how they can be used to inspire our practice.

Become aware of the non-negotiables to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Session 3: Loving the Language (29th February, 18:30 - 20:00)

Research tells us that we have a window of opportunity in the early years to introduce another language with ease to children and that this changes their brains in a positive way.

The Welsh Government has a long-term strategy to achieve A million Welsh speakers by 2050 and we all have a role to play in this!

The best kept secret is…you don't have to speak the Welsh language fluently to achieve this! Let's take one step at a time- dipping our toes in the water only at this stage!

We'll be looking at the benefits of bilingualism and if introduced at an early stage, how this can change how children live their lives forever.

You'll be introduced to an inspiring selection of new songs, stories in Welsh and other languages to help us celebrate a multilingual Wales.
