Social care and early years and childcare support some of the most vulnerable people in our society and play a critical role in maintaining people's well-being and independence.

Evidence has shown that these workforces need to grow to meet increasing demand.

WeCare.Wales was launched in March 2019 as a national campaign focussing on:

  • Raising the positive profile of social care, early years and childcare
  • Improving perceptions of care as a carer and a profession with opportunities to progress
  • Enhancing public understanding of the care sectors and drawing into the workforce those with the right values

Early Years Wales (then Wales Pre-school Providers Association (Wales PPA)) have been key stakeholders of the campaign since the beginning.

The report below celebrates the progress and the impact of the campaign during it’s first year.
