Fel rydych yn ymwybodol, rydym wedi ymrwymo i gefnogi teuluoedd sy'n gweithio yng Nghymru, a thrwy’r Cynnig Gofal Plant yng Nghymru, byddwn yn darparu 30 awr o addysg gynnar a gofal plant i rieni sy'n gweithio a chanddynt blant tair a phedair blwydd oed hyd at 48 wythnos y flwyddyn. Mae cynlluniau peilot ar hyn o bryd yn profi pob agwedd or y Cynnig Gofal Plant newydd i Gymru i sicrhau bydd yn hygyrch a chynaliadwy yn y tymor hir, unwaith bydd wedi cychwyn gweithredu. Yn Awst 2016, lansiwyd yr ymgyrch #TrafodGofalPlant er mwyn siarad â rhieni a darparwyr am y Cynnig Gofalplant newydd i Gymru, ac ‘rydym yn ddiolchgar iawn am eich cyfraniad chi hyd yn hyn i sicrhau ein bod yn cyrraedd cynifer o rieni a darparwyr â phosibl ledled Cymru drwy gam cyntaf #TrafodGofalPlant. Ceisiodd yr ymgyrch cychwynnol i ddeall y rhwystrau presennol sy'n wynebu rhieni wrth geisio cael gofal plant, a beth sy'n bwysig iddynt am y cynnig newydd. Fel y byddwch yn gwerthfawrogi, helpu i dalu am gostau gofal plant yw un elfen o’r darlun yn unig. Heddiw, rydym yn lansio cam nesaf ymgyrch #TrafodGofalPlant Llywodraeth Cymru a fydd yn canolbwyntio ar gysylltu â darparwyr gofal plant ledled Cymru Rydym yn awyddus i weithio efo darparwyr gofal plant i sicrhau bod ymwybyddiaeth dda o’r Cynnig Gofal Plant, ac i ofyn iddynt am adborth am eu profiadau wrth gynnig darpariaeth gofal plant. As you’ll be aware, we are committed to supporting working families in Wales, and through the Childcare Offer for Wales, we will provide 30 hours of government-funded early education and childcare to the working parents of three and four-year-olds for up to 48 weeks per year. The Childcare Offer is currently being implemented across seven Early Implementer Local Authority areas. These are: Anglesey; Gwynedd; Flintshire; Swansea; Rhondda Cynon Taf; Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent. These pilots are currently testing all aspects of the new Childcare Offer for Wales to ensure it will be accessible to parents and sustainable in the long-term once rolled out.
In August 2016, we launched the #TalkChildcare campaign in order to talk to parents and providers about the new Childcare Offer for Wales, and we are very grateful for your input to date to ensure that we reached as many parents and providers as possible across Wales through the first phase of #TalkChildcare. The initial campaign aimed to understand the current barriers parents face in accessing childcare, and what’s important to them about the new offer. As you’ll appreciate, helping parents meet the cost of childcare is only part of the picture. Today, we are launching the next phase of the Welsh Government’s #TalkChildcare campaign which will focus on engagement with childcare providers across Wales. We are keen to work with childcare providers to ensure there is a good awareness of the Childcare Offer, and to seek feedback on their experiences delivering childcare provision. The next phase of our #TalkChildcare campaign will not only help inform our Childcare Offer, but we want to work with the sector to help it grow and to thrive across Wales. Newyddion Llywodraeth Cymru Dydd Llun 23 Hydref #TrafodGofalPlant – gwahodd Darparwyr Gofal Plant i roi eu barn Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn gofyn am farn darparwyr gofal plant ar ei hymrwymiad i ddarparu 30 awr o ofal plant ac addysg gynnar a gyllidir gan y llywodraeth i rieni sy’n gweithio. Dyma ail gyfnod yr ymgyrch #TrafodGofalPlant.Nod y Nod y cyfnod cyntaf oedd dod i ddeall y rhwystrau sy’n wynebu rhieni o ran cael mynediad at ofal plant a dod i ddeall beth sy’n bwysig iddynt o ran y cynnig newydd. Bydd yr ail gam yn gofyn i ddarparwyr, gan gynnwys gwarchodwyr, perchnogion meithrinfeydd, cylchoedd meithrin a darparwyr gofal sesiynol am eu profiadau wrth ddarparu gofal. Caiff hyn ei wneud drwy holiaduron, grwpiau ffocws ac ymgynghori uniongyrchol. Mae’r ymgyrch ymgysylltu’n cyd-fynd â phrofi’r Cynnig Gofal Plant mewn saith ardal awdurdod lleol. Bydd hyn yn help i gynyddu capasiti’r sector er mwyn ateb y galw cynyddol a ddaw yn sgil y Cynnig Gofal Plant newydd i Gymru. Dywedodd Ysgrifennydd y Cabinet dros Gymunedau Phlant, Carl Sargeant: “Mae’r Cynnig Gofal Plant i Gymru yn un o’r datblygiadau mwyaf yn y sector ers blynyddoedd. “Rydyn ni’n awyddus i weithio gyda darparwyr gofal plant ledled Cymru i godi ymwybyddiaeth o’r cynnig newydd ac i gael eu barn a chlywed eu profiadau wrth ddarparu gofal plant. Bydd yr hyn a ddysgwn o’r cam nesaf hwn o’r ymgyrch #TrafodGofalPlant yn bwydo i mewn i’n cynlluniau ac yn ein helpu i ddeall sut y gall y sector gael ei gefnogi er mwyn iddo ffynnu ledled Cymru. “Anogaf bob darparwr - boed yn warchodwyr, yn berchnogion meithrinfeydd, yn gylchoedd meithrin, yn ddarparwyr sesiynol neu’n glybiau - i ddweud eu dweud a rhannu eu gwybodaeth a’u profiadau gyda ni er mwyn helpu i lunio’r Cynnig Gofal Plant i Gymru.
Welsh Government News Monday October 23rd Childcare providers asked to #TalkChildcare Childcare providers are being asked for their views on the Welsh Government’s commitment to provide 30 hours of government funded early education and childcare to working parents during the second phase of the #TalkChildcare campaign. The first phase of the campaign aimed to understand the current barriers parents face in accessing childcare and what’s important to them about the new offer. The second phase will ask providers including childminders, nursery owners, cylchoedd meithrin and sessional care providers for their experiences in delivering childcare through online questionnaires, focus groups and direct consultation. The campaign coincides with testing of the Childcare Offer in seven local authority areas. These pilots are currently testing all aspects of the new Childcare Offer for Wales to ensure it will be accessible to parents, deliverable for providers and sustainable in the long-term once rolled out across Wales. The Welsh Government is also supporting the Childcare Works project which aims to support unemployed young people into a career within the early years and childcare sector. This will help to build the capacity of the sector to meet the increased demand as a result of the Childcare Offer. Communities and Children Secretary Carl Sargeant said: “The Childcare Offer for Wales is one of the biggest developments in the sector for many years. “We are keen to work with Childcare providers across Wales to ensure that there is a good awareness of the Childcare Offer, and to seek feedback on their experiences delivering childcare provision. The next phase of our #TalkChildcare campaign will not only help inform our Childcare Offer, but will help us learn about how the sector can be supported to thrive across Wales. “I urge all providers across the sector, from childminders, day nurseries, cylchoedd meithrin, sessional provision and clubs, , to have their say and share their knowledge and valuable experience with us to help us shape our new Childcare Offer for Wales.”
