Increasing the upper threshold for rates relief for childcare providers from £12,000 to £20,500 will make a difference to a number of Wales PPA members in day nurseries and playgroups who are providing early years and childcare services in Wales and means that that our member’s views have been listened to.
Whilst we would like to have seen exemption from these rates as is the case in Scotland, we recognise this as a positive move forward for the sector at a time when they are meeting increasing costs and will help to address sustainability issues.
