As you may already be aware, from April 2018, users will be able to search the Care Inspectorate Wales website care directory for the name of a provider and see all the services they provide across Wales. We will also begin publishing childminder inspection reports on our website. Previously, these reports would have had to be requested from us. Childminder inspection reports will not contain the address of the registered service, so the privacy of people using services will be maintained. Why we’re making these changes We are doing this to support our commitment to ensure that information about our findings and the services which a provider is registered to provide are easily available for people to find. It will also bring childcare and play in line with inspection reports for other regulated services. Care providers and childminders do not need to take any action. We will be emailing them directly to let them know about the changes, and we’ll put a news item on our website.
