Job description:
We are currently looking for a warm and friendly Out-of-School Club Practitioner to join The Learning Tree Team, in creating a nurturing and adventurous environment for children 4-12 years!
The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team/ lead staff within their department and possess a willingness to develop their skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a safe and secure environment for children.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and carers - good communication is key!
- Encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
- Ensuring that health and safety measures are constantly maintained via completing risk assessments, reporting risks and recording accidents and incidents.
- Participating in outings during holiday clubs.
- Taking and collecting children from local primary schools (in nursery vehicles)
Must have:
- Experience working with 4–12-year-olds
- Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Childcare Level 3 or above First aid (preferred)
- Child protection (preferred)
- Food hygiene (preferred)
Desirable:
- Full clean driving licence with at least 2 years experience
- Confident in driving nursery vehicle
- Playwork: Level 2 or 3
- DBS on the update service
