We are currently looking for a warm and friendly Out-of-School Club Practitioner to join The Learning Tree Team, in creating a nurturing and adventurous environment for children 4-12 years!

The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team/ lead staff within their department and possess a willingness to develop their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing a safe and secure environment for children.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and carers - good communication is key!
• Encouraging children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills.
• Ensuring that health and safety measures are constantly maintained via completing risk assessments, reporting risks and recording accidents and incidents.
• Participating in outings during holiday clubs.
• Taking and collecting children from local primary schools (in nursery vehicles)

Must have:

• Experience working with 4–12-year-olds
• Understanding of the importance of following and abiding by policies and procedures
• Knowledge of safeguarding
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

Qualifications:

• Childcare Level 3 or above First aid (preferred)
• Child protection (preferred)
• Food hygiene (preferred)

Desirable:

• Full clean driving licence with at least 2 years experience
• Confident in driving nursery vehicle
• Playwork: Level 2 or 3
• DBS on the update service
