Little Chicks Nursery Plus is a well-established provider of wrap around care for children aged 3 – 4 who attend Gwersyllt Community Primary School.

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and enthusiastic practitioner to join our small and friendly team in a Lead Supervisor role on a permanent basis.

Our setting currently has 12 children regularly attending (Maximum Capacity of 20) and operates Monday to Friday during term time, between the hours of 11:20am and 3:15pm.(including 25 mins daily non-contact time). The hourly rate of pay is very competitive at £13.10 p.h.

Requirements:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Playworker Qualification.
• Minimum 2 years childcare experience
• An Enhanced DBS Certificate
• 12-hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undergo training)
• All levels up to Level C Safeguarding.
• Food Hygiene Certificate
• Excellent Communication and Administration Skills.

Main Responsibilities Include:

• To promote and provide a safe, secure and educational environment for the children in our care.
• To lead the team in developing, planning and organising activities in line with Early Years Wales and the National Curriculum of Wales.
• To work alongside and support current staff members, liaise with parents and report back to the trustees at scheduled meetings
• To keep up to date with all relevant training and qualifications and oversee the day-to-day running of the setting.

The position will commence January 6th 2024
