Job description: 

We are a high quality, CIW excellent rated Welsh and English, fully Organic, Montessori style Day Nursery situated in the city centre of Cardiff (Pontcanna and Roath), Canton, Penarth and Cardiff Bay. We have a variety of exciting new opportunities within the Green Giraffe Nursery Group and the chance for experienced early years educators to join our leadership team as Playroom Managers and Deputy Playroom Managers. The Green Giraffe Nursery was awarded Medium employer of the year 2024 from Cambrian Training for our contribution to the apprentice scheme.

If you are interested in pursuing this early years opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Nursery practitioner MUST hold a valid Level 3 in Children's Care, Play, Learning and Development qualification (CCPLD) or have Early Years Practitioner Status 
  • Welsh Speaking is desirable but not essential.
  • 2 years experience working with children in the Early Years Knowledgeable and experienced Early Years Educator leadership qualities and abilities
  • Experience with planning for environment and children's individual needs and undertaking high quality observations
  • Knowledgeable on the National Minimum Standards and Policies and Procedures
  • Two recent references are required; one of which must be from an educational setting Interest in the Montessori Method of teaching
  • We are looking for nursery professionals with the following skills:

  • Excellent mentoring and training skills
  • Above average organisational skills with the ability to work on your own

Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
