We are a newly open day care located in Lanishen area in Cardiff providing childcare for children starting the age of 2 offering full day care, wraparound and before and after school care. We also run through the holidays, providing full time holiday clubs. We are looking for 2 childcare practitioners to join our team. You MUST have a Level 3 Childcare Qualification as required by the National Minimum Standards.

The right candidates will need to the following skills/ability:

• To have the desire to develop their skills and knowledge To be a good communicator with small, tall, young and older individuals
• To be a honest and constructive individual that provides the best outcomes for children Be able to function with moderate to loud noise level

  Job Duties Summary:
• Be a positive role model for all children, encouraging individual children through praise and scaffolding.
• Develop good communications with parents/carers ensuring that they are greeted on arrival and departure.
• Monitor the health and wellbeing of children.
• Where appropriate, participate as a key worker and be responsible for a specific group of children or child during the settling-in sessions.
• Assist in creating a stimulating and attractive environment for the children.
• Always maintain confidentiality.
• Oversee maintenance of equipment and toys and report any problems to the manager
• Cleaning the play area and other parts of the setting
• Cleaning toys and equipment
• Changing nappies
• Preparing snacks and meals
