Bryn Coch Club a registered CIO #1196346 (Wales) is a happy and successful club located within the grounds of the hugely popular Ysgol Bryn Coch and is looking to recruit a Deputy Supervisor for our pre-school and wraparound team, term time only. To start as soon as possible.

Hourly rate: £11.38 per hour.

We require an individual who will create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for our children and ensure high quality care.

The role will include:

• Appropriate care and supervision of children in our care.
• Assisting and supporting Person in Charge
• Strong leadership skills
• Taking sole charge of both setting and staff when required
• Providing opportunities for play and learning which encourage all areas of development
• Ensuring health and safety needs of each individual child are met.
• Where appropriate administer first aid.
• Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and they thrive in a safe environment
• Engaging the children in suitable age-appropriate play activities

Person Specification:

• Recognised Childcare qualification minimum Level 3 Childcare
• Previous experience of working with children 2 – 4 years
• Experience of Flying Start expectations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing demands
• Able to work constructively as part of a small team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information sensitively
• Enhanced DBS check

All staff are expected to:

• Undertake training as required
• Support and contribute to the club’s responsibility for safeguarding students
• Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance and conduct
