Important information to note

  • QfA accreditation follows a process which includes:
    • completion of the QfA Assessment Tool.
    • an observation of practice, and
    • a Professional Discussion with an experienced assessor followed by annual reaccreditation.
  • You are expected to initially complete and submit the QfA Assessment Tool within 6 months of purchase.
  • The QA coordinator will be available throughout the QfA journey to answer any queries you might have regarding the use of the Tool and the assessment process. Please contact [email protected]
  • Check in sessions will be organised periodically to support you and to monitor your progress.
  • The Tool is based on regulatory requirements and National Minimum Standards for regulated childcare for children up to the age of 12 years (NMS).
  • Within each section of Part C we have listed the most relevant NMS outcomes in the QfA Assessment Tool Section List to help you to cross-reference the quality of your service against regulatory requirements. You may also wish to refer to other NMS outcomes not listed if you consider it appropriate.
  • As you complete the Tool, we ask you to upload some required items of evidence that will provide assessors with some initial information prior to assessment. These items are clearly listed at the appropriate section points.
