A family’s well-being is strongly linked with physical health and resilience which is the ability to cope with adverse circumstances. It is no secret that well-being can be improved through physical activity and that it is a vital part of a child's development. Starting from birth, a child needs the right conditions and encouragement to move and this is as critical to growth and development as it is for health and well-being.

A supportive family that spends time together are the foundations of a child's good well-being, alongside positive environments that the adult and child meet over the first 1,000 days of the child's life. During the first 1,000 days, a child's brain begins to grow and develop, as well as the development of foundations for their lifelong health.
