The content of the session will include the ability to:
- become familiar with the content of the resource which supports an appreciation the diverse cultures of Wales
- develop knowledge of how rhymes/songs enrich the development of young children
- discuss the effect of celebrating diversity, and the richness of other cultures that surround us, through rhymes
You will be guided through the new multilingual resource to become familiar with songs and customs from Wales and other cultures and languages including Bangla, Polish, Urdu and Romanian.
Following the session, the resource can be accessed on the Early Years Wales website allowing you to enjoy its content with the children immediately. In addition, the resource will support the work of setting staff working with all children, including some families whose first language is not English or Welsh.
The resources will open a door for children and practitioners to new languages and the rich cultures that surround us.

This event will be delivered through the medium of English. If you require an English – Welsh interpretation service* please indicate your preferred language on the booking form.
