Combining our annual awards with an exciting programme of some very special guests the Early Years Wales conference is the perfect opportunity for practitioners to come together to network and be inspired.

Laura Henry-Allain MBE

The role of books in an anti-racist space. 

Laura is an award-winning international producer, storyteller, educationalist and consultant. She is the creator of the characters in the well-loved JoJo and Gran Gran series, developed and produced by CBeebies, and is the series' associate producer. 

Her best selling children's book, My Skin, Your Skin, illustrated by Onyinye Iwu, explores race and racism, and empowers children to be the best versions of themseleves.

Laura's new book My Family, Your Family, is a powerful non-fiction book that focuses on what makes a family, explores how different families come together and celebrates the idea that every family is unique. 


Alice Sharp

The Imagination Zone

Alice is an inspiring and motivational presenter for early years training and continuous proffessional development. As a teacher, creator, author, mum and imagineer Alice is both nationally and internationally renowned as an expert in leading learning in early childhood. 

The child is at the heart of everything Alice does. She delivers high quality training that is transformational in upskilling staff in the understanding and knowledge of child development and learning.

Alice's aim is to change the lives of every child by presenting quality experiences in education that are innovative and thought provoking for any professional working with young children. 


Paul Isaacs

Life as a fruit salad - an introduction to autism

Paul is an autism speaker, training, consultant and author. Since his diagnosis in 2012 at the age of 24, Paul has overcome many challenges and now enjoys success advocating on behalf of the autistic community. 

Paul's message that Autism is a complex mix of ability and disability. He firmly believes that every Autistic person should have the opportunity to reach their potential and be regarded as a valued member of society.
